Australia.
Finally. After thinking about it, talking about it and saying “no you can’t do that right now” for no real reason, I’ve decided to move away from the cold Austrian winter and spend a few weeks on the other side of the world.
Namely: Brisbane and the Gold Coast. That’s probably as far away as I can get from snow and temperatures below 15° celsius (which is my personal limit on cold temperature by the way :D).
As a freelancer I have to take my work with me of course and I’m really looking forward to see how this remote work style turns out with my current clients. Some of them are new to this kind of business relationship and I hope Skype doesn’t crash on me every time I try to schedule a meeting with someone in Europe or America (you heard me Microsoft?!) ;)
I’d also like to share my experiences on working while traveling not only on twitter, but also here on this tumblr blog. So feel free to follow me on this little adventure via RSS feed or my facebook page!
Oh and… one more thing:
If anybody knows someone who could use an experienced user interface designer in the Brisbane area (or Queensland in general) , please get in touch! I’d love to take on some local work too and get a glimpse of the Australien way of doing business :)
cheers,
Patrik
